Guests At Home has developed an as yet novel idea for the South African tourism industry!

Apart from the comprehensive package-tour-offers available for travelling throughout Southern Africa, which rely, to a large extent, on the big, commercialized tourism facilities, Guests At Home enables visitors to South Africa to have dinner at the private home of an ethnic family and obtain such real life insights and impressions which come with it.

To be able to do so Guests At Home has selected Host Families in Johannesburg (and in due course also in Cape Town and Durban) who enjoy meeting visitors and offer their hospitality within the ambience of their private homes. Last not least, this also enables the host families to create extra income for themselves. The need to transport visitors to the host venues and back again has given rise to the operation of a separate business segment in which Guests At Home offers individuals and small groups of travellers a Door-to-Door Transfer Service from airports to hotels. One may also book a vehicle and driver from Guests At Home (Mini-Bus or Mercedes Limousine) to do a Soweto- or City Tour, visit the Apartheid Museum / Voortrekker Monument, the excavation site of the “Cradle of Humankind” and all the other highlights mentioned in the travel guides for Gauteng Province (Johannesburg / Pretoria).

Business men will find it convenient and comfortable to be chauffeur driven by Guests At Home to their meetings and appointments without having to drive themselves in the dense traffic which clogs South Africa’s major cities nowadays.

You want to go shopping and in the evening visit a theatre or restaurant? Guests At Home offers you personalized service, from door-to-door, without having to wait at some dark corner for the next passing taxi. Read more about this under “Our Services – Door to Door Transfers”.

 

To comprehensively round off Guests At Home’s business activities, there are also Designer Tours on offer. These tours are intended for the individual travellers who do not want to join the usual package tours, but rather follow their own particular interests such as Golfing, Yachting, Diving, Deep-Sea-Fishing, Exclusive Safaris, Mountain- or Desert Excursions and many other activities for which Guests At Home will prepare an individually designed offer.
